For this year’s NASCAR Day and in the spirit of all things racing, we’d like to recognize Danny Richardson and his many accomplishments driving the No. 22 car in the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) series. Auto Gear has partnered with Danny Richardson to develop a customized 4-speed transmission that meets the critical challenges of racing in this extremely competitive race class. Richardson is a multi-generation SCCA racer, and now a National Champion.

In 2023, claiming his first-ever Tire Rack Pole Award, Richardson and his No. 22 Hoosier/AutoGear/GentiumTech Chevrolet Camaro, opened Hagerty Race Days leading the American Sedan field to the green flag for the first National Championship race at the 60th running of SCCA’s Runoffs at VIRginia International Raceway (VIR).
