M20
In 1957 General Motors reintroduced four-speed excitement to Detroit motoring. Six years later they took their design across town and the Warner T10 was created. The Warner’s T10 relied on a GM patent and began rolling own their own, the ‘Muncie’. Engines were getting more powerful every year and in 1966 it all came together with that polished gearbox, the 1966-74 M20. The M20 is the inspiration for its modern successor, our ‘Syracuse’ M20. It is stronger, quieter, and faster-shifting.
With our “Syracuse” M20 you will get:
1.) The ‘Muncie’ installation footprint: reuse your existing clutch, shifter and driveshaft
2.) Cegendary ‘Masiero’ Italian gears, rarely equaled, never bested
3.) AutoGear exclusive ‘N-series’ case system and mainshaft assembly
4.) AutoGear exclusive ‘controlled-clearance’ synchronizer assemblies
5.) Japanese Kyowa synchronizer rings, the most accurate and strongest ever offered for a ‘Muncie’-based transmission
6.) Housing, extension, endplates and midplates cast and machined in the U.S. with aircraft grade aluminum
- 10- or 26-spline input
- 27- or 32-spline output
- 7- or 8- tooth speedometer gear (passenger side only)
